StakeWise DAO announces the recovery of 5041 osETH and 13,495 osGNO from the Balancer attacker
BlockBeats News, November 4th, according to official sources, StakeWise DAO announced that an emergency multi-signature account executed a series of transactions to recover approximately 5041 osETH (about $19 million) and 13,495 osGNO (about $1.7 million) from the Balancer attacker.
In the Ethereum mainnet, this represents 73.5% of the earlier stolen approximately 6851 osETH, as the Balancer attacker swiftly exchanged the remaining stolen assets for ETH, making this the maximum amount they could recover. All stolen osGNO has been successfully recovered.
The recovered funds will be returned to users affected by the Balancer V2 attack and distributed according to their account balances prior to the attack.
