According to official sources, Paul Atkins, Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), will ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange at 10:15 p.m. Beijing time on December 2nd (9:15 a.m. Eastern Time) and deliver a significant speech titled "Revitalizing the U.S. Capital Markets on the Occasion of the 250th Anniversary" at 11:00 p.m.
He will outline his overall vision for strengthening the U.S. capital markets and laying the foundation for the next century, as well as specific actions that the SEC is currently taking.
