BlockBeats News, November 10th. On the evening of November 9th local time, as the U.S. federal government shutdown reached its 40th day, U.S. President Trump told the media, "It looks like we are getting closer and closer to ending the shutdown."

The U.S. Senate was expected to vote on a bill that had already passed the House of Representatives that evening, but the bill would be amended to combine a short-term funding measure (which could provide funding for the federal government until January 2026) with three full-year funding bills.

It is reported that this bill has now garnered enough support from Democratic senators to pass in the vote. However, according to Senate Majority Leader, Republican John Thune, the amended funding proposal still needs to pass the House of Representatives and be sent to Trump for signing, a process that may take several days.
